Research interest | The history of cartography as a tool for understanding the historical and cultural landscape; in particular, the analysis proposed concerns languages, techniques and professionals involved, in order to investigate the various meanings of maps, seen as essential tools for the historical geography of landscapes; rural development, tourism and cultural heritage, particularly in inner areas; cartographic language, science and literature: the map as an interdisciplinary tool; relationships between maps and new technologies according to a user-oriented perspective. |
