Research interest The current research focus is on the definition and implementation of a computational approach that, by combining symbolic and statistical methods from artificial intelligence and natural language processing, allows the execution of complex tasks in the areas of the ontological reasoning, analysis of large corpora of content, and social computing. This research program evolves and integrates my research interests during the eighties and nineties, aimed at using formal logic as the basis for a declarative approach to understanding natural language and programming of distributed systems.
