Attività di ricerca
Gli interessi di ricerca di Manhattan Lebrun si concentrano sul phytoremediation di metalli inquinati (terreni), utilizzando le specie Salicaceae e gli ammendanti, come biochar, compost, ammendanti a base di ferro (iron grit, redmud). In questo contesto si stanno analizzando sia le caratteristiche fisico-chimiche e microbiche del terreno sia la risposta fisiologica della pianta (attività enzimatiche, profili proteici, accumulo di metallo (loide), parametri di crescita). Per fare ciò, vengono usate tecniche come ICP-AES, spettrometria, HPLC e il software di statistica R.
